Turkey and MouCo Camembert Panini

Our Gourmet Turkey or Chicken Panini is a perfect fusion of flavors and textures. Thin slices of savory turkey or chicken meet the velvety MouCo Camembert cheese, all encased between two slices of golden grain bread speckled with flax seeds. Fresh lettuce adds a satisfying crunch, and a layer of tangy cranberry or lingonberry sauce ties it all together. With each bite, you experience a delightful balance of salty, creamy, and sweet notes, making this sandwich a delectable treat.

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of high-quality grain bread with flax seeds
  • 4-6 oz (about 113-170g) of cooked turkey or chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2-3 oz (about 57-85g) of MouCo Camembert cheese, thinly sliced
  • Handful of fresh lettuce leaves (such as arugula or mixed greens)
  • 2-3 tablespoons of cranberry or lingonberry sauce
  • 1-2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, softened
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Panini Press: Preheat your Panini press according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

2. Prepare the Ingredients:

  • Thinly slice the MouCo Camembert cheese and cooked turkey or chicken breast.
  • Wash and dry the fresh lettuce leaves.
  • Take out the cranberry or lingonberry sauce and have it ready.

3. Assemble the Sandwich:

  • Lay out the slices of grain bread.
  • On one slice of bread, layer the thinly sliced turkey or chicken.
  • Add the MouCo Camembert cheese slices on top of the meat.
  • Spread the cranberry or lingonberry sauce over the cheese.
  • Place the fresh lettuce leaves on top.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of salt and black pepper over the ingredients.

4. Construct the Sandwich:

  • Place the other slice of bread on top to create a sandwich.
  • Lightly spread the outer sides of the sandwich with softened butter. This will give your Panini a crispy golden crust.

5. Panini Press Time:

  • Carefully transfer the sandwich to the preheated Panini press.
  • Close the press and gently press down. Cook the Panini for about 3-5 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy, and the cheese has melted.

6. Serve and Enjoy:

  • Carefully remove the Panini from the press and place it on a cutting board.
  • Let it rest for a minute to set the cheese.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut the Panini diagonally into halves or quarters for a gourmet presentation.

7. Optional:

  • Garnish your plate with a few extra lettuce leaves and a drizzle of balsamic glaze for an elegant touch.
