  • 1 round of MouCo Camembert cheese
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup red berry jam (such as raspberry or strawberry)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Fresh thyme leaves, for garnish
  • Crackers, sliced baguette, or vegetable sticks for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Cheese: Carefully remove the Camembert cheese from its packaging. If desired, you can remove the top rind of the cheese for a milder flavor.
  3. Roll Out Puff Pastry: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to a size large enough to completely encase the Camembert.
  4. Assemble the Cheese: Place the Camembert cheese in the center of the puff pastry sheet. Spread the red berry jam over the top of the cheese.
  5. Encase in Puff Pastry: Gently fold the puff pastry over the cheese and jam, sealing the edges by pressing with your fingers. Trim any excess pastry if necessary.
  6. Brush with Egg Wash: Brush the entire pastry with the beaten egg. This will give the pastry a beautiful golden color when baked.
  7. Bake: Place the wrapped Camembert on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.
