DENVER — Party-goers won’t go hungry at two of the many events this week.
Tonight's menu at The Friends of New Orleans features some authentic down-home fare. The Friends of New Orleans – who are expected to number more than 2000 — are going to enjoy an authentic taste of the city’s popular cuisine tonight at a celeb-packed party at the Fillmore. The food include s Crawfish Bread (no clue what that might be), mini-muffalettas, barbecue shrimp Po-Boys, red beans and rice, seafood gumbo and Bananas Foster, all washed down with chicory coffee. The 24th All-Star Jam-Balaya is a nonpartisan musical and culinary fundraiser for rebuilding New Orleans. Restaurateur Ralph Brennan will join celebs Randy Newman, James Carville, John Laroquette, and Donna Brazile and comedian Harry Shearer.
